About Dr. Nelson
Dr. Randi B. Nelson, fondly known as Dr. Randi is not only an experienced Board-Certified pediatrician; she is also a compassionate advocate for children's health, blending her medical expertise with a deep commitment to community service and global outreach.
Her professional journey reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation. Dr. Randi began her career as a Pediatrician at Stanford Children’s Health in Oakland, California, where she not only provided exceptional care to her patients but also served on the Practice Advisory Committee and Packard Children’s Health Alliance Investment Committee, demonstrating her leadership and strategic ability. Recognized for her clinical expertise, Dr. Nelson was appointed as a Clinical Instructor at the University of California, San Francisco, where she mentored and guided medical students, nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Pediatrician at SunRiver, Dr. Nelson played a pivotal role in establishing and shaping the Pediatric Department, working alongside the Medical Director to ensure high-quality care for all patients.
Her dedication extends globally through her faculty appointment at The Gambia Collaborative Project in Africa, contributing to healthcare initiatives in underserved communities. Dr. Nelson’s journey epitomizes a fusion of compassion, leadership, and innovation in pediatric healthcare.
She enjoys travel, concerts and the theater, dancing and spending time with her family.
